Nagpur:Aarti Borkar, the President of Shiv Sena women wing had been murdered in Nagpur on Friday while she was on the way to a restaurant with her husband.
Police said that the incident took place at around 9.30 pm near Lalganj area in North Nagpur.
A group of four to five people attacked Aarti and her husband, Anil Borkar, in a busy Lalganj area. While Aarti died on the spot, Anil was seriously injured in the attack.
Anil had been taken to the nearby government hospital immediately where he has been treated.
Local had catch one of the murderer and handed over him to local Panchpaoli police.
Hundreds of Shiv Sena activists had gathered near police station and protest against the murder.
