Hyderabad: Another Tollywood actress had been caught in prostitution racked. South Indian actress Divya Sri had been caught red handed in a house in Guntur. Along with Divya, several other model-actresses had been arrested.
Police claimed that Actor Pawan Kumar, Chandu and other pimps have been running the racket in the city.
Notify that another South Indian actress Shweta Basu had also been arrested for prostitution few day ago. She claimed that being into prostitution racket is “quite common for heroines”.
After her arrest, one official statement from actress said, “I have made wrong choices in my career and I was out of money. I had to support my family and some other good causes… All the doors were closed and some people encouraged me to get into prostitution to earn money. I was helpless and with no option left to choose, I got involved in this act.”
She said, “I’m not the only one who faced this problem and there are several other heroines who have gone through this phase.”
Shweta had won national award for her Bollywood movie Makdee. She had also acted in several Hindi movies and TV serials, such as — Iqbal, Kahani Ghar Ghari Ki, Karishma Ka Karishma and many more.
Recently, it was reported that Shweta was likely to expose her client who are reported to be high profile business tycoons from metro cities across the country.
Earlier it was reported that Hyderabad Police on Aug 31 arrested a few high profile businessmen as they along with Shweta were caught red handed in a star hotel at Banjara Hills in the city.
