Floods damaged 50 KM fencing of borderSrinagar: Flood of Jammu and Kashmir had damaged over 50 km of the three-tier border fencing and flood lighting along Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) between India and Pakistan.

A Senior Indian Army office said, “As many as 20 to 25 km of border fencing has been damaged in various patches along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir regions during floods.”

As security forces battle floods to reach out to people for rescue and relief, the BSF and the army are also racing against time to repair the damage along LoC and IB.

Now engineers of Indian army are working to complete the task in the shortest possible time.
