New Delhi: A woman lawyer had created stir in Supreme Court on Monday when she had claimed that she had consumed poisonous substance. She had also alleged police inaction in her gang-rape case which had been filed by her.
When Chief Justice of India RM Lodha was about to rise from his seat, the incident occurred. The woman lawyer suddenly got up and alleged that she had been gang-raped by her in-laws in November 2013.
She alleged that she had lodged an FIR but no further action had been taken by the police. She then declared that she had consumed the tablets to the court’s utter shock. The lawyer was then rushed to hospital.
After the incident occurred, the apex court had posted her case for hearing tomorrow.
