New Delhi: The Supreme Court had announced to constitute a 5-member committee which had been headed by Senior Registrar of Jammu and Kashmir High Court. The committee will evacuate the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The apex court directed the committee to file its report within two weeks before it and also before J&K High Court.
The counsel of J&K government had assures to the apex court that drinking water would be made available to all flood-affected people within three days. The bench of SC had been headed by CJI RM Lodha.
The Supreme Court said during earlier hearing “a calamity and disaster” as huge as the one witnessed in J&K floods “deserves national response”.
