Even my #opponents are chanting #Modi, #Modi', says #PM in #Bhagalpur #rallyBhagalpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a mega rally in Bhagalpur of poll-bound of Bihar. Addressing the last of BJP’s ‘Parivartan’ rallies in the election-bound state before the poll schedule is announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a blistering attack on his RJD-JD(U) rivals, charging them with spreading the “poison of casteism and communalism” during their 25-year rule.

Here are the top quotes from the rally:

  1. After 25 years, people of Bihar have decided to vote for development and form a government for development. Nobody can stop this (NDA’s) victory march irrespective of how many parties and leaders come together against us.
  2. Two days back there was a sacrificial meeting in Gandhi Maidan in which JP, Lohia and Karpuri Thakur were sacrificed. Lohia fought against Congress but his disciples have now betrayed him for their lust for power. They have joined hands with those (Congress) who put JP in jail.
  3. They ridiculed my package but realised in two-three days that people have seen through their game. So they were forced to announce their own development package. I am very happy that development has become a poll issue in Bihar.
  4. Nitish Kumar is cheating people of the state by announcing package of Rs 2.70 lakh crore.
  5. People of Bihar are the most intelligent people on earth.
  6. Yaad unko aati hai jo bhool jaate hai, unko nahi jo Bihar ko bhoole hi nahi (on Nitish Kumar’s comment that ‘PM remembered Bihar after 14 months’).
  7. Some people still can’t give up their habit of cheating people (attacking Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar).
  8. I was ‘amazed’ to see like rest of the people in the world, they (my opponents) too are chanting Modi, Modi (commenting on JD(U), RJD and Congress’ Swabhimaan rally).
  9. I ask you to give ’tilanjali’ of those who betrayed the ideals of Lohia and JP. Now nobody can stop this victory march, no matter how many parties or leaders come together.
