Delhi govt to set up a Commission of Enquiry for probing the alleged #DDCA scam,#NewDelhi :  The Delhi Government cabinet on Monday morning resolved to set up a Commission of Enquiry for probing the alleged #DDCA scam. A decision was also taken to have a special single day assembly session of the Delhi assembly on Tuesday for discussing the scam and raids by the Central Bureau of Investigation last week.
Both these announcements were made by Delhi CM #ArvindKejriwal on twitter. They were made a day after he had officially announced to set up a Commission of Enquiry under Senior Advocate Gopal Subramniam, who had accepted the request immediately.

This morning, he said, Delhi cabinet resolves to set up Commission of Enquiry on DDCA Scam. Spl session of assembly tomo 2 discuss DDCA scam n CBI raids on Del Sectt (sic).”

The Delhi Government had previously set up a three-member Chetan Sanghi committee to probe if prima-facie financial irregularities were found in the DDCA’s financials and workings. Sanghi, a senior IAS officer in the AAP-controlled administration, had filed a volumnious report in November confirming that there were indeed many irregularities which needed to be further investigated.

Monday’s decision by the Delhi cabinet formalises this process. AAP spokespersons Kumar Vishwas, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadda and others had been hinting at the setting up of this enquiry soon enough. It remains unclear how the Centre will respond to this, with no reaction yet on the decision.
