#Jharkhand Three Members  of family burnt to death on suspicion of human sacrifice

#Ranchi :  Three members of a family in Jharkhand were killed after about 50 people set their house on fire for suspected human sacrifice.

The police arrested seventeen people on charges of burning them to death.

On Sunday night, about 50 people raided the house of Govardhan Bhagat in Chipo Thekka Toli village of Lohardaga district, 80 km from Ranchi, and set it on fire on suspicion that he abducted a boy for human sacrifice, the police said.

To protect themselves from the attack, Bhagat and his family members locked themselves up inside the house which the mob torched, killing three of them.

Bhagat, who has previously been jailed for murder, escaped with burn injuries.
