Pulwama: An exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in Awantipora area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. At least one terrorist was gunned down by security forces.
The Banderpora area has been cordoned off and searches are underway to smoke out the terrorists. Mobile internet services have also been snapped in the area.
According to a police official the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the search party of the forces, who retaliated.
