Jairam Ramesh to coordinate Lok Sabha election work for Congress

Jairam RameshNew Delhi: As the term of elections coming closer, all parties had started to give responsibilities to their credible leaders. Congress has appointed to its Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh as the Convenor for all Lok Sabha election related works. Jairam and his team now will work as a secretariat to the Election Committee of the Congress which is headed by Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

Some senior leaders of Congress are of the view that Jairam Ramesh can wait till January and let Winter Session pass as the government will have to give responsibility of the large ministry to another person for questions and policy debates.

Meanwhile Jairam Ramesh had worked both on Land Acquisition and Food Security issue, party feels that his presence would be required in the Winter Session.

While it is also notified that Jairam Ramesh and colleagues had played a crucial role in formalizing the Aam Aadmi campaign.
