IPL spot-fixing report submitted to Supreme Court todayNew Delhi: the Justice Mukul Mudgal committee, formed by the Supreme Court to inquire into spot-fixing and illegal betting in the IPL last year, submitted its report on today. The apex court bench headed by Justice AK Patnaik, upon receiving the report, said that they will pass appropriate order after going through it.

It remains to be seen whether the findings of the report is likely to influence the IPL auction in Bangalore on February 12. In any case, the findings are likely to be made public soon as the petition of Cricket Association of Bihar is also being heard on today.

The Mudgal committee was formed last year after the Bihar association filed a petition against the verdict of the two-member inquiry committee — comprising former judges of the Madras high Court, Justice T Jayarama Chouta and Justice R Balasubramanian — formed by BCCI.

Including top cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly and others. We have recorded every bit of information that we have received. The panel also studied responses received through email which it had created for people to share information about spot-fixing and betting.
