Cold morning for Delhi PeopleNew Delhi:  Capital continued to be chilly on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature recorded at 4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average. The weatherman has forecast light rain during the day. The day will remain cloudy with light rain expected during the day, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

National capital Delhi and the whole of north India continues to reel under severe cold as the temperature plummeted further, claiming more lives in the past few days.  It was a cold morning in Delhi Monday with the minimum temperature recorded five notches below average at 2.4 degrees Celsius, Met Office said.

 

India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, while it was a clear morning, cloudy sky and light rain is expected later in a day. Monday is the lowest temperature recorded in the national capital this season.

Official said, the sky will be clear in morning, to become partly cloudy later. Light rain is expected in some area. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be around 18 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 100 percent.

 

According to Northern Railways, at least 13 trains were running late due to the fog. Sunday’s maximum temperature was 19.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below average. The minimum temperature dipped three notches below average at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
